Don't you just love to hate remote meetings?
I've got bad news. Remote is here to stay. And there is no silver bullet to fix what ails your meeting culture. It's just you and your peers showing up as better facilitators.
It’s time to level up.
Facilitation Jumpstart for Teams is a 6-week program for teams to grow their facilitation practice and shift their meeting culture.
In just 6 weeks, you’ll have a group of facilitators in your organisation that you can learn from and rely on, and you’ll topple your stale and draining habits with a wave of new energy and practices.
Untangle your team
Working with diverse teams brings a lot of unique expertise to the table. But it takes facilitation to bring these skills together – without someone to hold space for everyone, you move a lot but without getting very far.
Turn talking into traction
In the moment, you may feel like having more meetings will increase impact – it won’t. Remote collaboration is hard. Every additional person exponentially increases the number of relationships. Facilitation is the super power that cuts collaboration overhead and brings out the best in your team. But how do we get better at a skill that is so…subjective?
📣 Stop having meetings that don't matter.
If you try and do anything in groups, facilitation will happen. Rather than let it happen you can make it happen and make it better. So how do we go from days packed full of meetings, to finding connection and traction in our remote collaboration?
✨ Facilitation Jumpstart is an intensive, cohort-based course to develop personal facilitation skills for remote collaboration.
You may be wondering if Facilitation Jumpstart is even right for you: if facilitation is something that you recognize yourself doing, and you want to learn more in a knowledgeable and supportive environment, this course absolutely is for you 👍
Facilitation Jumpstart is for you if you want to:
Learn how to develop your personal style so you can hold space for effective group collaboration and be yourself
Explore interpersonal dynamics of remote spaces so you can be inclusive and make the most of your team
🎯 Confront what's holding you back when high-stakes
collaboration moments jam up your leadership abilities
In this course, you will work closely with me and a small group of peers, to face your facilitation fears, and unlock untapped skills to get things done with care. Facilitation isn't a universal formula — it's about you, and what you bring to the table.

Who am I to take you on this journey?
I'm Alix. I became a facilitator while running a global technology nonprofit.
I love it and now focus exclusively on facilitation as a service. I have supported many clients to design and host meetings with HUGE ambitions.
I know these skills are teachable, and I want more facilitation capability literally everywhere! In every organization and in every room.
My teaching is about mindset, power dynamics, and supporting diverse teams to do complex things with care. I focus on the durable analytical and design skills that you can use in meetings of any shape, size, or goal.
Before the course kicks off, you will work on two things ahead of the live sessions:
🌏 Facilitation 360
The first step in journey is to get a clear-eyed assessment on your facilitation strengths and weaknesses so you feel empowered to make specific investments of time and energy.
Before the first session we will prepare for you a holistic evaluation of your current facilitation skills and style.
In about an hour of time you can work through videos and interactive assessments that give shape to facilitation as a skill.
I will walk you through the step-by-step process of designing remote meetings. This foundational content will be used in the live sessions, so they are less lecture, more practice and reflection.
Live sessions give space to interrogate the material, form experiments, and put your learning into practice. These sessions come in a few forms.
🙌 Training Sessions
In training sessions, I will walk you through content, facilitate meaningful conversation about what you are learning, and help you get to the bottom of what you are working to improve. These sessions are focused on Process, People, and Outcomes.
💼 Office Hours
I host office hours during the course, and you are welcome to join our monthly office hours for as long as you want after the course wraps. I will be there to provide spot advice or coaching on the application of a particular skill or idea.
🤩 Peer Sessions
In these sessions we will go deep on your meeting culture issues and emerge with fresh ideas to make changes. Even though meeting culture has huge effects on our impact, we rarely get the dedicated time to assess our issues and identify opportunities to make changes.
✨ Optional Add-ons
We can help you design and run retreat sessions about meeting culture shifts, do wider consultation to support diagnosis and renewal of your convening values and practices, help you design values-aligned facilitation onboarding support for new hires, and we can offer 1:1 coaching for senior leaders and other facilitation-focused teams.
